The key word is get grounded and rooted (established) Shallow and apparent seedded plant is bound to be withered soon. A house made upon a sand cannot stand the tempests and storms. A well founded hous on a rock, is sure to stand.
Very recently, I had a chance to go through divine teachings of social reformer, teacher and philosopher of China Tao. (pronounced Dao) He gives an illustration of a certain Bamboo tree, a very unique and exceptional in many ways.
In its first five years, it does not grow much in height at all, but keeps growing in the earth deep to even seven feet. Its roots grow like a net and spread out around the main trunk. Surprisingly, after five years it shoots out and springs upward to the height of 15 feet in one year. It is the tallest bamboo species among trees. In old times, people used the wood of this tree for making houses and even bridges.
Tao compares human life with this bamboo tree.
