Globally, the world is going through so many tumultuous events be they political, economic, social, cultural and environmental. Of course, we the people must share the blame for some of this but ultimately I see them as harbingers, which is to say warnings or omens of things to come before God brings about a harsher judgement of sorts.

As somebody who has flirted around with political philosophy I see it as just that being nothing more than man believing he can think his way through without God. If we take the west that has become militantly more atheistic it has not brought us a happier and more stable society. To make my point I’ll highlight the U.S because there’s no way that I believe it would have suffered a calamity the size of 9/11, gun violence or a failing economy to the extent it has if God’s protection was stronger. Both the U.S and even more so Europe, that is even more secular and God denying is facing greater problems than at any time since WWII but it remains to be seen what its future will reveal.

Being a global world no country is immune from God giving  warnings for it to correct its ways. China’s economy has taken a massive hit but because the West relies on it so much so too have our economies continued to suffer. Of course, there are the natural disasters but I can’t put them all down to human induced climate change although for all we know God wants us to wake up to the fact about how we’re mistreating the planet.

Finally, the public should be aware of Shemitah years that occur in 7 year cycles and can either bring blessings or misfortunes. The last two globally have been disastrous. It’s seems an impossible task to tell a world that increasingly turns from God that it will reap what it sows from that.
